with my recent switch from my dfi lanparty to my infinity and now that i have reinstalled windows i have run into a problem. basically the audio drivers dfi supplies at thier site for my infinity mobo only seems to allow the analog sound to work and not the spdif (digital) out. so i am forced to use the drivers from my old motherboard untill dfi comesout with a fix (i have reported it). and so far everything works fine except for now battlefield 2 crashes because the old drivers don't work with the onboard mic in apparently... so what i must do is find software that will allow me to fake my windows install into believing i have another sound card and then in the sound options under the record section change the audio device to the new virtual device and all should be fine. i have found something that will do this but you must pay for it. is there a free software that will basically give me a virtual sound card so i can play some bf2? thanks!
