A good debugger

Someone told me a good debugger to get would be SoftICE, but I've searched and searched and no luck on finding it. Am I missing somthing? Thanks.

SoftICE is not a debugger one would normally use when debugging applications in development. It's somewhat special-purpose, and was also somewhat expensive the last time I checked. What are you trying to do? Visual Studio has a very good built-in debugger.

If you wanna do hackery hacks on games, try using Cheat Engine.

It allows you to inspect memory, inject code, etc. into local processes.

I recommend using VS2005 with it's debugger. And it's free.
