Hello, i am working on a map editor, writing it in c#. i use tao for opengl bindings. I use a usercontrol for opengl drawings as nehe tutorials do. I call drawscene method in mousemove action. The problem is when i increase the control size from( 950 X 750) to (1000 X 800) the cpu starts to use 98%. In 950 X 750 it uses 3%. Does anyone have any idea?

Verify your call stacks in both situations. It might help you see what's happening. Also you can use Spy++ if you have it to see if any windows messages anomalies have apeared.

Are you by chance using a dual monitor setup? If a graphics surface in Win XP needs to be split across two monitors, updates go all the way down to the gdi kernel and then back out - this will kill your framerate and up your cpu usage by a lot. Just a thought.

If you're doing any Sleep function calls, that really increases the CPU usage. You really shouldn't be that concerned though, as it's just checking the wait delay between events.
