Alright, here is the problem. When I launch a, for example, .class file from the run dialog (not a command promt - i'll explain in a bit), it terminates the console as soon as it is done. Is there a way to stop this without needing a recompile or change of a java file? Ok, the reason I want to do this is because of a shell application I'm writing to launch .class files w/o needing to go into a command prompt. So if the console exits right away, that isn't that good. :( I tried passing parameters to cmd.exe, but that does't seem to work, so i'm stuck passing them to java.exe.

I'm pretty sure you can do this with "/k", i.e.: "cmd /k abc.exe", once abc returns the console won't close, but rather display the command line.

Hope that helps
