I'm using MSVC++ Express Edition, and I keep getting the following error when deriving one class from another (no cyclic dependancies). error C2504: '...' : base class undefined I've been on MSDN's site, but the two possibilities didn't solve my problem. What's more, sometimes it will compile fine, and othertimes it won't. I also found this: http://www.kbalertz.com/155133/ClassWizard.Bring.Proper.Header.aspx Is there a problem with MSVC++ and inheritance? My base class is defined and included at the top of the header file, yet for some reason it is not working...

Sorry, I realise this question has been asked before, but none of the solutions worked for me.

Thanks.

class A{};class B : public A {};

Does this work? If it does (it does) then the problem is with your code.

I apologize, it was something similar to the topic on this page.

(Hidden circular dependancies).

But thanks for the help anyway, I vastly appreciate it.
