Hello world, it seems I'm lacking some basic knowledge required for building 3D-games. :( Anyway, what I'm trying to do: I want to project a normal texture file (DDS-format) onto a sphere in DirectX. I tried to use the predefined MeshType.Sphere and stuck the texture onto it using Device.SetTexture. But all I managed was to get the texture to repeat itself once on each polygon (at least that what it looks like). Could anybody give me a hint how to properly render a textured sphere in DirectX? Currently, easy-to-understand code is more important to me than performance optimisation. Regards, Bastian
