I'm trying to create a home network through my dsl modem. The modem has two wires, one ethernet and one usb, and I used to be able to just share files on one of the computers, and access it from the other, but not I can't seem to be able to connect to the other computer at all. I don't know what's different (I just reinstalled windows on one). The workgroups for both computers are also the same. Any words of advice?

Can both computers see the internet? If so, have you tried the default WindowsXP network setup disk? Are you going into a router?

It's umm a Westell WireSpeed Dual Connect Modem, and what is the XP network setup disk? Both computers are connected to the internet. I tried to use the "Setup new home or small office network," is this the same thing, or maybe I selected the wrong settings?
