Hello Everybody, I was wondering if anybody knows of an open source chess rules library. Basically, I need a library holds the board layout, knows the rules for peices and knows if its check or checkmate. I don't need ai for this but would be really helpful if this was a c++. The reason why is that I am working on a online chess and the graphics side are fine but I am having difficulty developing the rules for it. Also, what would you recommend for the best way to manage the games on the back end. Create a game class that holds the board layout and when someone wants to move a peice pass the board reference and the piece you want to move to a seperate set of rules ( ie a singleton design ) and would that actually work for that matter. Thanks, Ben
