Hey everyone, I am not having a problem on my game, but I wanted to know one thing. On my game…it is going to have multiple levels. The thing is on all my games, I have never made a game more then 1 level long. So my question is…what is a quick but efficient and then yet kind of easy way of getting a level management system up and running. I am open to lots of ideas. I will not just take the first idea. I will take many ideas into consideration. Well, I guess that is about it. Thanks to all who help. Chad

Well we need more info. What constitutes a "level" in your game? Is a full on 3d Map like Quake? Or is it just a difficulty level like Tetris? Those being the two extremes, it could be something in between.

Ooops, I am entirely sorry! I really did mean to put that in my post.

My game is a 2D Sidescroller shooter. At the end of each level, you will fight a boss...of course. Then, the next level loads up and plays. The way we handle a level is via a level class. An example is like this:

Level level1;level1.Create(numberofenemies, difficulty);level1.Draw();When you create the level, you put the number of enemies there is going to be in the level, and you put the difficulty. So, the levels are not pre-scripted. The levels get chosen at run time. I am using my own algorithim that I am still working on to make the levels the correct difficulty. So yes, any ideas are appreciated. I will take them all into considerations. Also, some maybe little psuedo code would also be nice, but I can deal without sometimes. Thanks a lot to all who help! Thanks,Chad
