[.net] Visual Basic Standard Imports

Why does visual basic automatically do a project wide import System.Data, System.Deployment, and System.Xml? And I don't mean like "It does it because you haven't changed your settings so that doesn't do it anymore." I mean if they are unused references will anything be wrecked by removing them?

I don't know why they are included by default, but you can remove them if you aren't using them. You won't wreck anything by removing the Imports and References unless you were using classes from them.
