This one is going to be hard to top. :X I was taking a Java course with my neighbor (He didn't want to take it alone, so I took it with him) and at the end of the class, we had to do a project. We chose to make a simple tilemap based unit battle game. (Screenshot below) So I go over to my neighbor's house to finish up the game with him. A few hours later his girlfriend stops by. Being the nice guy that I am, I didn't say anything. So we were sitting in their home theater with the lights out (You can see where this is going) and I'm working on the unit building system shown in this screenshot: rts Well, to say the least, I got extremely zoned coding on that and listening to di.fm. So zoned that I missed the chick with her shirt off 10 feet away from me. I would have never even known about it until my friends, that were there, told me about it. (Yes, I really was only 10ft away) So here I sit, wondering how this can be topped. Let's hear your stories.

you mean your neighbor's girlfriend took it's clothes out in front of you and all your friends? Who cares about how geek you are, tell us more! :D

Well done. You give hackers (the proper general definition) the world over a good name.

Im totally serious.

I also hope I too can perform as well if the situatation were also ever to arise for me.

But i cannot at this moment top yours, all i have is: yesterday i prefered to stay inside while normal people were at the beach because i dislike the sun. Today, when others insisted I go sit outside with them to enjoy the sun, I was sure to find the shade of a tree to read on the history of modern mathematics under. I was oblivious to external stimulus for over an hour.

Silly owl, he did not see anything. That is the whole beauty, the irony of it. Regardless, a most impressive display of concentration and force of focus. Again, well done jump3

Well at my last school each and evry kid had a laptop and on these laptops each kid had acess to flash. Me liking Games and wanting to be able to make games started to learn actionscript and make games in flash. Later on my class mates found out and wanted to play my games so I let them play my games. Some people thought i was a geek becuase I was creating games and programming on the computer. Some kids thought I was awsome becuase they got to play games. Then during my multi-media class I asked the teacher if we could learn actionscript for some classes becuase we were learning how to use flash which I already knew. So later on he made me go in front of the class and teach them programming in actionscript and how to do simple stuff. I looked like a geek.

I did not like me teaching

I puked on the floor(just kidding about the puking part)

The other weekend, I gave up going out with some classmates (female classmates that is) because I was working on designing my own relay based computer. (They wanted me to go out and get drunk with them. Apparently a geek that never parties or drinks is some sort of challenge to them)

I suppose the geekiest thing I've done lately would be me celebrating Pi Approximation Day last weekend with my buddies.

The geekiest thing I can think of, is to rewrite a logic game on the PC cause a friend of me didn't let me practice for it on his Amiga.

The geekiest thing i've done in a while was going to a girls house to tutor her in CS (You would think a visit like that would be different). "Hello sir, I'm here to help your daughter pass her programming class".

The only other thing that can top it is when I told all my friends that I love ducks.

I was absolutely, genuinely amazed recently because I discovered that some people online use =/= to represent "does not equals." I thought everyone on the internets used != to represent it!

That's pretty geeky, right? It's not a geeky thing to do, but I think it's a geeky attitude to have.

I think your friends lied to you. They were having a hot orgy and you were not invited.

What's wrong with that? Ducks are AWESOME. And evil. And tasty!
