Are there any other forums out there that you could recommend for web developers, specifically of the PHP/MySQL sort? Although i really like GD.net, it's more for games, obviously. I need a place to get some questions answered in the future. thanks

Just about any tech site you may frequent probably has a forum, and they are specifically setup for help in the way you are describing. This place, I like to believe, is one of them. If you're looking for just web development:

One I used to frequent (before I became skilled enough to successfuly debug my work) was http://www.christian-web-masters.com/

There's also SitePoint (http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/) and any other web development site that comes up when doing a [google] search: web developer forum

I've had good experiences with the Ozzu forums.
