I upgraded the Juli SDK 2006 to the August. I try to run d3d10 samples from this. I get an error when i try to execute it: This application has failed to start because d3dx10d.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" YES Im running Vista (beta2) What have I missed? What is there to reinstall?

i think you need to have the RC1 of the windows vista instead of the beta 2

Does this file exist in c:\program files\Microsoft DirectX SDK... somewhere ? The DX9 version in is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft DirectX SDK (April 2006)\Developer Runtime\x86 for me (I don't have the Aug. SDK installed on this machine).

I couldnt find it anywhere in the installed developer runtime maps,
BUT I found it in the temp folder where the installation files got copied.
I copied it to the Windows/System32 folder. Now I dont get that message, but
The program turns of directly after execution, and this is written in the output:

D3D10 ERROR: D3D10 header version mismatch.
The application was compiled against and will only work with D3D10_SDK_VERSION (29), but the currently installed runtime is version (28).
Recompile the application against the appropriate SDK for the installed runtime.

The program '[2772] Tutorial02.exe: Native' has exited with code 0 (0x0).

If you do D3D10 development don't upgrade to the August SDK until you have Vista RC1. There are some changes in the runtime again. I have assembled a list.
