Hi, are there any tutorials for making online games, and are there any tutorials for making games? I cant find any :(

It depends if you know any programming languages or not. If not for online games you should learn java or flash(for graphical games) and php(for text based games).

If you do know one of the languages above try some of these sites:

Java programming book
Take a look at this thread for a lot of links on php game making
A lot of tutorials for flash and java on here see if you can find anything you need

Sorry... if you still want to create an online game... there isn't a chance with c++ but an offline game I would recommend finding a library you like the sound of.

Some examples:
SDL
Allegro
ClanLib

They are all free under the GPL license. Just learn the one you feel most comfortable with.

Oh, so you cannot make an online game with C++? Wow, I play counter-strike online, its coded in C/C++, Doom3, Unreal, etc. They all play online but I guess they don't use C/C++.

If you need a library for C++ there are a few free ones, the most popular I've seen is RakNet. There are tutorials for making games with c++, google has links to them.

I believe he meant that he knows of no C++ tutorials on how to make an online game.

There are a few books -- have you tried your library?

What's wrong with the links in the Forum FAQ?

Anything from the "quake 3 networking model" to the "zen of networked character physics" to the "1,000 archers" article ought to get you started.
