Hello code gurus There might be a problem with the serialization of hash_map in the boost library. As u probably know hash_map is no longer part of stl. hash_map was therefore moved to stdext namespace and this might be a problem. Do you have any suggestions or tips that could help me?

It's never been part of the C++ standard library, it's a non-standard library extension. The only thing that comes near to that is std::tr1::unordered_map but that is in the library technical report (TR1) it's not part of the standard library just yet it's under review.

That is particular to Visual C++ compilers not all C++ compilers.

snk_kid gave you some very good advice, no need to laugh at that. You on the other hand made a post stating wrong things as if they were facts, and never told what your problem was. Don't your code compile, run-time error, odd behavior?

Ye right he is just another wise guy. None of the things he wrote will help me. I’m just so tired of ppl that just have to write and point out that everything, which for that matter doesn’t change the problem, is wrong.

The problem still exist.
