Hacker attack?

Original Post
Weird stuff happen to my Internet explorer. First, I press back once at the wikipedia site, and the browser goes back two pages. Second, in some other sites, I close one explorer window and the other one closes as well. What can it be?
Your computer, for some reason, registers two mouse clicks, that would be my guess. Does any other applications suffer from the problem? Have you installed any IE plugins recently? Have you installed something which touches your system files? (like the ones replacing explorer.exe) I doubt any hacker would benefit from you closing two windows at a time, and going too long back.
No it does not happen conssitently.
It just happens, sometimes.
I just recently reinstalled my computer.
Can this be caused by spyware? malware?
I enter my computer with a non adminstrative user.
Also, I use an up to date firewall/antivirus/ etc suite.
I havnt installed any plugin to explorer or something like that.

Quote:Does it only affect Internet Explorer, or do other applications get spurious double-clicks? The fact that it's intermittent indicates that it might be a hardware fault - try another mouse?

It didnt happen that much for now, and its a completly new mouse.
Now that I think about it, I also pressed on minimized applications and it would open and then collapse the application.
So its also a double click syndrom.
So it must be a hacker?
But I log in as a non adminstrator user.
Most people dont know how to pass that. dont they?

Make yourself a hat out of tin foil and wear it at all times. That'll keep the hackers away.

Yup, it's a hardware error.
Replace user and press any key to continue
The thing is, I had recently many problems with my computer. Som eof them are obviously, malware, hacker related. So I am not keen to conclude its a defect in my new mouse.
Back Orifice is a lot of fun.

Sounds like hardware. Smash some of the modifier keys. My alt key used to get stuck on Win98 all the time. Also try another mouse.

So it must be a hacker?
That appears statistically unlikely.

Engaging your paranoia for a second, do you think someone is coming out of the Internet to deliberately menace you directly?
I checked the new mouse on another computer and it had the same problem.
So apparantly it is the mouse.
I returned my old mouse, but now I have aproblem with it.
Tomorrow I will replace the new mouse, but if you wont help me with the problem of the old mouse, it will be very difficult for me to post more threads until tomorrow. :'(
Anyway, the old mouse has a very strange problem.
Its a mechanical problem.
The x axis moves slow.
However, if I open aprt the mouse, and use it without the "lid", then it moves smoothly.
I looked inside, cleaned it, and there is no apparent things that will cause this.
Well, it doesnt really matter.
Tomorrow I will have a new mouse.
But do you have any idea why would a mouse that worked a few days ago, will have this weird mechanical problem?
It is totally strange, because I dont see anything inside the mouse that will interfere with the xAxis wheel.

So your mouse was hacked?
