All the ones that say "Symbols loaded" or "No symbols loaded" are not errors. I think they have to do with loading DLLs, but they don't really matter too much.

The ones that say "Access violation reading location 0x00000018" mean that your program is trying to access a memory location that does not belong to it. Most likely you are dereferencing a pointer that has not been initialized.

Hope that helped

You should run it in your debugger and see where it crashes.

Man, actually i wasnt getting these errors in VC++6.0, but i m getting them in VC++ 2005 Professional edition, what the hell. And do i need to add these files, i.e., dxguid.lib and d3d8.lib in the project settings, and if yes, then how may i do it....

If you do
Quote:

#pragma comment(lib,"dxguid.lib")
#pragma comment(lib,"d3d8.lib")

OR Project->Properties->Configuration Properties->Linker->Input->Additonal Dependencies

I would also find out where the access voilation is happening. Post where that is with code.

There doesn't seem to be any indication that there is a problem with those. They are being loaded. That's why is says "Loaded blah..." [grin]

Your problem is where the exception occurs. Run through it in the debugger, look at the stack and see where it crashes.
