Brief description: Having recently completed my undergraduate Computer Science education and started work, I am in search of an interesting part-time project to be a part of. Target aim: I am not particularly tied to any particular type of venture, financial or otherwise. Technology: I am competent in C/C++, Python, OpenGL and SDL. I am currently working to increase my understanding of STL. I have worked in the past with, have a working knowledge of or am in the process of learning x86 Assembly, Ruby, Java, DirectX, VB and C#. I work primarily in OS X and Linux. I also have Windows for testing and compilation. I am immediately interested in C++, Python, SDL and OpenGL cross-platform development. I am comfortable with developing in groups with subversion, instant messaging, wiki and forums (professionally, academically and for hobby work). Talent needed: People with projects, programmers with ideas or even practical designers with realistic goals. Team structure: I am looking to program. Contacts: PM me, message here. Additional Info: As for my past projects, I have the standard list of half-finished terrain engines, etc. As for completed projects, there is the assembly platformer I wrote that is in my showcase. I also was lead developer (of a three person group) on a cross-platform, networked, 3D multiplayer RPG in C++ with SDL/OpenGL and RakNet for school. Lastly, I wrote an engine and finished a light demo on a multiplayer zelda-esque game in PyGame with OpenGL. Screenshots are available of the former two. I might be able to dig up those of the latter if desired. Generally, I am not interested in Massively-Anything Games, though for the right set up I do feel that they are possible. However, I definitely want to work on a multiplayer game. While I have experience with 3D work I feel that I am more inclined to work on something 2D as it leaves more room for work on other components. Depending upon my schedule, I can devote ten or more hours per week to a serious project. Feedback: Any.

My team is working on a 2d OpenGL engine in C++.
There are 3 programmers, including myself, 3 artists, and 1 writer.
I've got plans for several games which will use this engine, but the most developed one is a MMO space shooter. Despite the MMO stigma, I think this game is doable.

There's currently no website for the engine itself, but you can PM me for more details or a demo of what it can do right now.
I know enough about OpenGL and game programming in general to be good at it, but not enough to always be very helpful, so I apoligize if I suggest something stupid.

Hi,

I think I have something for you that you will find very interesting. My team and I are making a game called Ender's Game 2D (based on the book Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card). We currently have 3-4 artists, 2 programmers, and 2 sound artists. We could use another programmer. It's made w/ C++ and OpenGL. For more info:
