tangent function

i have the formulea $sine$ and $cosine$ i know that sinx/cosx = tanx so i divided the 2 formuleas and got this: tan x = E (x / (2n + 1)) E is sum of n = 0 to n = infinity this that correct, if not could someone show me what it should be. thanks jason

Remember that

a + b    a   b----- != - + -c + d    c   d

Thus, you cannot divide these expressions termwise.

The correct Taylor Series for tan is shown here.

thank for that, didn't think that it was right but couldn't see why
