...that can't be accentially pressed! I'm looking for a momentary pushbutton, something like this: http://i9.ebayimg.com/06/i/08/4b/df/cb_1_b.JPG but not so expensive (that one was $13 on ebay). I tried searching Digikey, but I always have trouble finding a button I want there. Any ideas? EDIT: Let me clarify. That link above is a switch, not a pushbutton. I am considering using that in series with a pushbutton, as a safe solution. But, a pushbutton alone that couldn't be pressed accidentally, would work too.. EDIT: Home Depot has suprisingly little choices of buttons.

Why don't you get one of those buttons they have in fighter jets, with the little flip-up plastic cover?

I believe they're called "Safety Buttons" or something like that. If you look in Digi-Key's pushbuttons section, one of the Switch Features is "Safety", IIRC.

It sounds like you might be looking for a "Switch Cover" or "Switch Guard", which comes up with a few results on Mouser.com. Most are made for switches, but, except for a few oddities, they're just hinged boxes and you could mount a pushbutton inside rather than a switch.

Just for reference, I ended up finding + buying a cheaper safety switch on EBay so that I wouldn't have to bother finding a matching button for the cover mentioned above. I mounted the switch in series with a pushbutton inside of a Radio Shack project case:

Try Auto Parts, or Auto Zone. That's where I bought mine (that looks similar to the one in your image) for about $6 USD.

I think it might be spaces in the filename.

I check the image properties and it says "http://www.angelfire.com/retro/here/pics/random/%5Cretro%5Chere%5Cpics%5Crandom%5Cswitch_1.JPG". Those %5Cs are back-slashes, thus it amounts to "http://www.angelfire.com/retro/here/pics/random/\retro\here\pics\random\switch_1.JPG", which you'll notice is the directory structure on the server. Suspicious. Either way, these work for me:
