To my horror a few of my DVD's give this error: 'cyclic redundancy error'. In fact, most of my important files are not readable anymore. I've read on the net and tried CDCheck, which can read the damaged files but they fix it by 10 Kb a minute or so. (would take some years to recover that). My DVD's are very high quality (Verbatim), but I burned them at a too fast speed. I can slap myself now, but the program I got with my laptop (sonic burner) does not even ALLOW speed settings so it always burned at max speed. T_T Is there any other way to recover the damaged files? Thanks
