Just wondering which cell phones are you guys using right now? I'm currently looking to get a new one, but having trouble making up my mind.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Singer "Cat Stevens" Oh, baby, baby it's a wild world / You were very famous and I am really happy with your own choice. http://catstevens.com/discography/people/00001.html

Had it for three years, and it still works like a charm. It's a great phone if you place more importance on reliability than "coolnes".

Treo 700w, I love it but I think I prefer the 650 for non programming purposes. But as far as programming, you can't beat having window mobile, sqlserver mobile, windows media in your pocket. Dosn't hurt that mine is and remains free ($) to me.

You should tell us what kind of phone you want:
Do you want one just to talk and text message, or are you looking for all the newest features?
Do you care if it supports 3G networks or not?
Do you want to develop for it?

Also, it would help knowing what networks do the providers in your area use (GSM or CDMA or both).

I have a Sony-Ericsson T610 but I'm getting rid of it in favour for a Nokia 6216 when my contract expires.

The T610 is remarkably slow, has a poor Java implementation, lacks proper documentation and gets terrible signal. But the Bluetooth stack is top notch.

I have the Motorola ROKR E1.

Cool looking phone with lots of cool features, but too many corners cut.

What I like most about this phone is it has iTunes built in, so it doubles as a iPod (has 512MB mini-SD card in it, enough for about 100 songs), which is cool because I never had one before. The biggest oversight is the fact that the interface is USB 1.0! WTF! It takes FOREVER to transfer songs. Not only that, it's a pretty slow phone (processor wise, not sure what it has though), so if you have iTunes going, forget about doing anything else. It has pretty serious speakers built in for a phone, and the quality of the heaphones is great.

It also has Java and internet and stuff, but I don't use those features so I can't really comment.

It also has a camera that takes lousy pictures and movies.

The coolest part is that mine has the Motherbrain from Super Metroid as the wallpaper and plays the Samus item get fanfare for my ringtone :D. Of course you can do this with pretty much any phone.

It has a pretty common problem of iTunes just suddenly stop working, and you actually have to replace the phone to fix it... I had to do this.

Basically, I'm keeping my eye out for the next generation of this phone, should be better.

I have the M600 from Orange (next model up from the M500 shown above) and I have a Blackberry 7100t. The 7100t is my personal/obscure work phone. The M600 is supplied by a client for use related to their work. I really like the addictive email anywhere/any time of the Crackberry but I find the M600 to be better for viewing docs etc on the go. Might invest in a Blackberry Pearl next time around.

Motorola C350, had it since I've had a mobile phone. I'm not changing it untill it falls to pieces which shouldn't happen for a while still by the looks of it.

Sony Ericsson T300, its an oldie, but it still works.
Developing in Mophun ( the API for games ) its a pain.
It has a color screen too and it can connect to the interntet (wap sites)

Edit: I have it on a "Matrix green" color..

I got my phone free when I got the service. It's a POS, but it works and is nearly indestructable.
