I was having problems with my computer, which led to two boot files on my backup hard drive. One is for an OS thats not even installed, and I wanted to move the other boot to my windows hard drive so its all in one spot. (makes future reformating easier) is there some way of deleting the old boot, and moving the boot I want to another hard drive so that its good without deleting everything, and starting over?

I cant quite understand what your trying to say, but from what I can gather you have 3 operating system boot files? 1 on your 'windows hard drive' and 2 on a second?

You can edit the windows boot file (boot.ini) to select which operating systems you can boot from (my computer, properties, advanced, start up and recovery) but if you've got two hard drives, why dont you just back everything that you want from the old drive up, wipe it, then reinstall the other OS on a separate partition so you can dual boot.

Im not entirely sure what your trying to achieve, but if your wanting to 'move' a second OS from one hard drive/partition to another then I dont think it can be done.
