Hey, Couple of suggestions for ya: 1) On the topic listing pages, active users and such, i don't see the need to have the Last Post field link you to the user who made it. I think it should be a link to the last post. It's a minor pain having to go to the thread and navigate to the end, especially if it is multiple pages. 2) In the Replies column, in brackets following the total replies, it might be nice to have the number of replies since you last looked. This is helpful for recognising how hot a topic is. Something like:

Title Last Post Replies ...
Dave's thread Never 13(2) ...
This could even be extended so that the 2, in this case, is a link to the first of the 2 new replies. Food for thought i'm sure... Dave

I also like this idea. I am not sure how hard the second idea would be to implement though. You would have to keep track of which posts you have viewed and when using a cookie or something. I know they already keep track of which posts you have viewed, but with a 4k limit on the size of a cookie...

Do they keep track of which posts you have viewed, or do they simply keep track of when you last viewed a forum? I know I've never had an individual thread get marked read without every other thread getting marked as well. In which case, it becomes not a cookie issue, but a complexity issue. Each "new" thread would have to be checked individually to see how many posts have been made since you last checked that forum. Probably entirely too time consuming to be worth it.
