I read an Article in my boyfriends Zoo mag this week. It was called Australia under water. "new global warming research claims half the continent will one day be underwater Which is good news if you like beaches and live in Mt Isa, WA or Tassie" It has some interesting pictures of Australia when the water rises Scientists predicts in years to come when the water is 100m over Darwin and Adelaide are wiped out, SA and Vic are widely flooded. Inland seas replace the flat plains. When the water gets over 200m most of Vic, SA and NSW are underwater A tiny land bridge in the middle of Queensland connects the east and west. 300m incredibly, the tip of Mt Strzlecki on Flinders Island is still above water and most of WA is still looking pretty dry. 400m Three-quarters of the country is under water. Houseboat makes enjoy a huge boom. Tassie and WA suffer the least. 500m A tenth of the country is still dry. Australia looks more like SE Asia; only mountain ranges and hills are above water.
