Thrustmaster Racing Wheel in Linux?
Hi all,
I have a Thrustmaster Ferrari racing wheel device. I'm just wondering how I can use it for my Torque Game Engine-based racing game that will be running on Linux, as it does not come with Linux device driver. I've tried asking people on garagegames.com, but it seems nobody can help me. Would anyone here please give me a hint on this?
Thanks in advance,
O. Newman
Have you tried simply plugging it in a Linux machine and see? I recommend trying with a distro that comes stacked to the brim with drivers, like Ubuntu or Mandriva. For Linux, drivers usually come with the OS, not the device.

Thanks for the quick response, Sander! :)
Actually, I've been modding the TGE scripts under Windows, but I am stuck on detecting the racing wheel device. In 2003, someone on garagegames.com wrote a script to do that, but there were errors when compiled/rebuilt, no solution yet.
My plan after this stage will be making this racing game work on SuSe Linux. But if Ubuntu or Mandriva are capable to detect the device, I'll consider using that distro.
Thanks again,
O. Newman
