I use FX Composer, primarily because I thought that RM had a very clumsy interface (note that I only used RM years ago when the whole shader-IDE thing was just emerging).

I don't really require much out of a shader tool at all - basically, I just want to test for compilation problems. My shaders are too complex to have FX Composer render them correctly, and I don't really feel like trying to maintain all the annotations that would do so.

If you relocate RenderMonkey's start menu entry, it will decide that it has been uninstalled on next run, and recreate it.

So it's blacklisted by me. I refuse to use it.
