Hi, I have a question about DirectDraw's raster operations. I'm writing a 2D game using DirectDraw and I would like to use some raster operations for some special effects (like inverting colors) via DDBLTFX::dwRop or DDBLTFX::dwDDRop. I'm having trouble finding any help on which raster operations DirectDraw supports and where they are defined. I did a google search on raster operations and I found some information on ROP2 and ROP3 here The raster operation I'm interested in is the Source Invert ROP. Do I use ROP2 or ROP3? Thanks.

The support for the DDraw raster operations is spotty at best.

DirectDraw is also deprecated, you should move to Direct3D or another current 2D Library (SDL perhaps)

I'm using DirectDraw atm because all I have access to is a laptop with only 2D support (Chips & Tech Asiliant 65555 PCI). I'll try the RGB Rasterizer for Direct3D9 and see if it works. Does Direct3D9 support raster operations too? If so, how do I use them? I just don't want to lock a surface and go through each pixel inverting each value because that's kinda slow :(
