Hello once again. I am now using the Dev C++ compiler. I am trying to setup SDL using the tutorial on LazyFoo.net. I'm trying to download SDL-devel-1.2.11-mingw32.tar.gz but am getting errors. It says error reading header after 0 entries. Then I click ok and it says Winzip cannot open this file it is not a valid archive or something like that. Any idea on how to download it?

I have just tried and didn't have a problem? If you still can not get them lazy foo has copies on his front page.

Alright I sorta got the file but only on Winzip classic. Now its not split into folders... Can someone tell me what all the files in the bin subfolder are?

For anything other than ZIP files, it's usually better to use WinRAR.

If WinZIP is giving you grief, then download 7-ZIP instead. It supports unpackers for just about any packer format imaginable and, unlike WinZIP and WinRAR, it is totally free open-source software.
