Hi I have recently started programming with c++ builder 3 and I have written a program to download a web page from the Ebay website (a page displaying a single Ebay item or a list of items) and display the HTML code of the page on the screen. I am using the NMHTTP component to download the page. The URL is specified in an Edit component and the HTML code is displayed in a Memo component when a button is pushed. Here is the code which executes when the button is pushed – void __fastcall TForm1::ButtonClick(TObject *Sender) { NMHTTP1->Get(Edit->Text); Memo1->Lines->Add(NMHTTP1->Body); } I was testing the program by downloading code form different websites. When I tried amazon.com the program worked perfectly displaying the HTML code in the Memo component. But when a tried the Ebay home page I got a lot of “page not responding” messages in the HTML code. The same thing happened when I tried to display HTML of individual Ebay items. I also get various error messages when downloading HTML from many other websites. Am I doing something wrong? Could one of you maybe try the same program I have written and see if you get the same results? Maybe my code is wrong or I need to change something else? Thanks Mark
