Hi, Has anybody here used the EasyWay game engine? I'm trying to work on a turn-based wargame, and was hoping that the engine would take care of some of the legwork for me. I'm having a little difficulty getting it set up to work with JCreator, even after reading through the somewhat scanty tutorials on their website. If somebody could help me, I'd appreciate it. That one looks pretty new. I never heard of it. There probably aren't a lot of users yet, so you may be out of luck.

A lot of people seem excited about Slick(http://slick.cokeandcode.com). There is a good sized community around it already.

Thanks,
I sorta figured it out, and poked around a little with it, writing an Asteroids clone. It works all right, but it's not very polished, no error handling code, comments in Italian, etc.

I'll have to check out this Slick library.
Thanks

Slick is not really an engine, AFAIK, it's only a collection of code from Kev, which he used in his own projects. It's been a while since I last touched it, so it may have been promoted to an Engine as we speak. Nonetheless, it's very good work, gets you inspired to write high quality code, and also gets you started very quickly with your own projects. Kudos for Kev!
