Automatic Game Content Generation Is there any currently underway project to develop an application that will automatically generate game content that fits the common features of several input data sets? For example, the user feeds the application a set of images/videos (monocular or binocular), 3d models/animations and the computer generates a new 3d model that fits the common features of the input? As such, I could feed the program a set of paintings of dragons (or some other mythical creature) and the program would generate an 3d model of a dragon? The system should also be able to create new entities by intelligently blending the input set. For example, if I give it a set of images of snakes and birds, it would come up with something halfway in between the two. Thank you for your time, Arrummzen

Yeah that program sounds great. The only problem is that such a program is incredibly difficult to make.

If there are any projects to do such a thing then they are probally very high level research projects. If such a technology is developed I could only imagine that it would have quite a price tag.

You are basically asking for a virtual 3d modeler and I doubt it will happen anytime soon ;).

This may be the closest thing available to what you describe. I haven't looked too deeply into it and I don't know how well it actually works but you might want to check it out.
