Hi all, I'm just entered in the wonderful world of C# and since there was a little project I had in mind for my spare time, I decided to make it in C# instead than Java in order to learn that language. The program I want to writes adds some tools to a standard text editor, so I want to know if there is a free component that let you to write text, changing color, size, font of the text, justifying it and inserting images and so on. It should also be able to load and save in some widely used format (doc would be perfect, but also rtf or odt is good). Am I asking too much? Is there something like this or should I write it from scratch? Thank you!

I think the standard RichTextBox fills all those requirements. It's only able to save and load the rtf format, but you mentioned that wasn't a real objection.

Thank you, I will give it a look as soon as I can. Having rtf as the only format available is not really a problem. Should I need something else in the future, I wiil look for a specialized api.
Thank you again
