Hi. I've been using OBJ for a while now, and it's starting to not cut it anymore. You see, I need some way of adding 'comment' vertices to the model, vertices that describe points that aren't actually drawn, but are used by the program that's parsing the file. I'm guessing I could get by with using joint points, because my models aren't using skeletal animation. That being said, can anyone reccomend a relatively well documented file format that I can use, which has basic geometry, material support and some form of join/comment vertex information. Thanks in advance.

Microsoft's .X might do the trick.

Hmm.. I'm using OpenGL, not Direct3D... wouldn't that be a little weird? Oh well. Thanks :) I'll look into it. :P
