Hi, Can you give some ideas how to do spotlight effects for cars at night? My scene has a city and lots of trees. There can be many cars at the same time. - If I use API's (Direct3D) and use a Spotlight Model, it is limited by 8 and it is not good for performance I think. - Do you think it is a good idea using projective texturing? - Do I have to use shader or effect? I really appreciate if you can give me some hints. Thanks in advance. BSekerci

Projected textures are a tried and true way to do car headlights.

You don't strictly have to use shaders for the effect, but I strongly recommend steering away from the fixed function pipeline if you can.
