Team name: Undecided Project name: Laser Battle (can be changed) Brief description: A modern version of Othello where two-color disc are played and the winner has the most colors showing. Instead of disc there are two teams of armored soldiers carrying long laser spears. Target aim: Depending on the quality of the program it could go retail. It could be setup for individual/computer, one-on-one, or Internet use. Compensation: All I would like is credit for the idea and 2% of any profits if sold. Technology: Unknown Talent needed: Programmer, someone that could make the opening movie and graphics. Team structure: Undeveloped. Contacts: anderfam@together.net Previous Work by Team: None Additional Info: If you know the game Othello you know it starts out with two game pieces for each side. Two black disc and two white disc. My idea is to start the game where the user picks his color in a room under the playing field. Once the colors are picked the players leave the room and go to two sets of stairs leading to a transport platform. From that platform they are transported to the selected squares and squares selected by the players. When a soldier is placed on a square it checks to see what colors are around him and like the game Othello will change other soldiers to match that teams color using his laser shaft.
