Team name: Nemisoft Project name: Project name is still being decided Brief description: *Project name* is going to be a 3D medieval/fantasy based mmorpg. *Project name* is still in basic concept stage, meaning we haven’t started the technical development of the project yet, we are still in the process of getting things ready for production. Target aim: *Project name* will be 100% free to play, though we are very interested in installing a money deposit system to where players can deposit real USD for ingame currency Compensation: Seeing as *Project name* will be a free game we wont be able to provide pay for our team members, though when the game takes off and the deposit system if up and running then the team will be paid monthly. Pay will depend on the persons Technology: It will be programmed in C++ with OpenGL. The engine used will be Irrlicht, it is very good and very flexible. For networking we will be using Raknet(C++). The game will be 3d, so I would recommend that the modelers use Blender 3d. Talent needed: We are currently looking for the following: 1-2 Programmers 1 concept artist 1 modeler 1 website designer 1 2d artist Team structure: As of right now it is just me As I said before the game is still in basic concept stage and is ready to start technical production, so I need to start recruiting. I think you need to actually have a good idea of what your game is going be about, and be like. Get a design document going... get somebody to do a couple concepts... I don't think programmers or artists are going to find this very enticing, since their work is longer-term and there's no up-front pay.
You're looking at a wanna-be right now :P

I would like to second what Destron said. With the surplus of MMORPG concepts and games being posted on Gamedev weekly, not to mention the high number of commercial MMORPGs already out there.... it is very hard to get a team that can:

form and design unique game,
create it,
fine tune it,
test it,
fine tune some more,
publish it,
and have the public play it.

This is especially hard when it is just for a hobby project because the turnover of crewmen is so high.

If you want to take on this hard and long task....good luck and follow the advice Destron said. I personally think you'll have much more success taking on a different project that is easier to complete and more unique than "yet, another MMORPG".

You need to make your game post stick out...otherwise it goes to Gamedev Thread heaven (or hell!) :)

Best of luck to you,

I suggest that you make some concepts, and get a clear idea of what you're shooting for.
I'm not sure what your skills are, but I suggest you get some sort of storyline/plot going and some 3d/2d mock-ups made.
Above all else, create something original. I don't play a lot of MMORPGs, but every time I see another ad looking for MMORPG dev team members, I say to myself, "not another one..."
Don't mean to be rude, but I think you need to think up something besides "another world of warcraft clone".
EDIT: sorry, I think I worded that last sentence wrong... I'm not saying that you're making a WoW clone, I'm just saying that you should probably think up an entirely new intellectual property, don't just grab one off the shelf.
