Hello, I am a reverse engineer by hobby, and recently I have pulled apart an old Direct3D7 game which I'd like to create some 'new' features in using a DLL. I have hooked the interfaces created by the application, and judging by MSDN's documentation I'd be right in hooking EndScene() and rendering what I want before that call is made. Here's the problem- I have no knowledge of 3D programming at all, and I can't find any decent tutorials or information on what I want to do, even though I'm sure it's incredibly simple for anyone who has programmed in Direct3D7 before. I was wondering if anyone could show me some simple code to draw a 0.5 alpha, blue bar at the top of the screen and render some text on top of it (alternatively I can do the text with DirectDraw, as I've figured that interface out already). Any help is appreciated, Regards, M I
