Hello- Last night I installed some updates from microsoft (I have no idea what they were, however) and restarted my computer. When I woke up, I checked on my computer, and it had a couple of bizarre errors. It displayed the background to my desktop, but would not show any icons, nor the taskbar down below. I had the following error messages: C:\WINDOWS\system32\kdjs6.exe The NTDVM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction CS:0563 IP:01ac OP:63 68 61 72 73 And the second message was absolutely identical except the file having the error was kdjs7.exe I can get my computer to work in safe mode, but on a normal boot I cannot access anything on the desktop. I attempted a system restore, but, unfortunately, my only restore point is sometime yesterday (I rented this computer from the university, and foolishly assumed they had the thing that automatically makes system restore checkpoints periodically). I should be able to do most of what I need to do in safe mode, but I would like to clear up this error and return my computer to normal operation as soon as possible. Thank you for your help.

Something's trying to execute data. The opcode specified as being an illegal instruction is simply the ASCII string "chars". Googling suggests that kdjs7.exe is spyware.

Thanks, I'll try to fix it.

It would seem my computer contracted this virus when I scoured the internet for the files that would allow me to type from right to left (I use Hebrew frequently). Well, I'm still trying to fix it (running virus scans, using spybot, etc.) so if anyone has any more advice I'd appreciate it.
