If this belongs in CSI, please move. Since Thursday, I've been getting logged off GameDev after say 45 minutes of inactivity. Also, my theme keeps going back to default as opposed to the classic black. And, I have to, every time, check "Remember password" and "Log in automatically". Is this a new security policy or is it just my computer being foobar?

what OS are you running? And what browser?

I don't get this at home with firefox on WinXP, but I get it all the time at school with firefox on Ubuntu.

Well, I usually get logged off after some amount of time, but I've never clocked it (but not always - sometimes I can stay logged in for more than a day). Remember password and Log in automatically haven't worked for me in... years?

XP & FF 2.0.0.3.

Been fine for me:

Windows XP SP2 + IE6 SP1
Windows XP SP2 + FF2.0.0.3
Windows Vista Ultimate + IE7
Windows Vista Ultimate + FF2.0.0.3

I didn't time it out but there have been a couple of times recently when I tried to send a PM only to find after sending the message that I was no longer logged in. I found that strange since I had logged in maybe 10 minutes before. I also found it a bit frustrating since it ate the message I was sending.

My specs are the same so maybe it's a W2K/Firefox thing?

Are you changing IP addresses? Because if you change external IP address, you're automatically logged out. This was done after some turd decided to steal the cookies from within his game and use it to troll on GDNet.

well it seems to be fixed now. i checked "store user details on my PC" (earlier) and it seems to persist. But the funny thing --still-- that when I checked the checkbox and I saw it unchecked itself (confused yet).

This has never happened before. Is this a normal phenomenon with anyone else? I want to make sure before I start jumping to conclusions.
