I''ve started using CHR files but don''t know how to get Events to work (especially WAV in the CHR file). I''ve tried the following code: void UpdatePlayer(void) { PR_SetD3DPipeline(0); if (Player->CurrentMotion == MOTION_NONE) CHR_InitiateMotion (Player, Player_Motion); CHR_AnimateCharacter (Player, move_count); CHR_PlayAnimationEvents (Player, 0,move_count); CHR_PlayAnimationEvents (Player, 1,move_count); CHR_RenderEntity (Player); PR_SetD3DPipeline(1); } This crashes when the Event should occur [I think]! You don''t need to call CHR_PlayAnimationEvents ever. It is called by CHR_AnimateCharacter.

I changed the WAV loading routines and I think you may need to put the WAV files in the .CHR archive now. I''ll have to check it out and make sure the sample characters are working properly.

WAV''s already in CHR file.

Is SND_Update3DSounds (); in main() all that is required
to make them audible?
