Direct3D 8 example?

Does anybody have a good Direct3d 8 example of a game, simple. Ive been learning D3D for about a month, but i was wondering if any body had an example of a small game or something. Before you say it... Ive used the Sdk, but i think it would be better if i could see somebody else''s code due to the fact that it will probally be a lot easier to understand.
