I had first thought this problem was central to the Voodoo5 only but it turns out I was wrong. My testing has found that if a PowerRender program loses focus then you return focus to the program, it cannot resume.
Here is an example scenerio:
Desktop resolution: 1024x768
Program resolution: 640x480
When a program loses focus then regains, it switches very fast between desktop and program.. back and forth and back and forth very fast, which causes my monitor to shut down with an invalid signal message.
This didn''t happen in older PRs, so I''m guessing its a problem with DX8.
All the tests I preformed were in Windows 2000, I''m not sure if this happens in Win 9x.
