Hi community, I never used a Graphic library or engine. I have very simple requirements and need to know if this is difficult to implement, which engine to use and if you think it would be much effort (for a beginner) to realize it. I want a fixed size transparent window, where a can draw straight lines. If these lines cross a border the program should draw another mirrowed line. (Goes from the point where the the line hits the border in the using the same angle) ?!?!?! Another question... Is it against the forum rule to ask if someone in this forum would develop this for me!? Thanks for advise and answers! Cheers!

That doesn't sound too difficult of a program for a beginner. If you're programming on Windows, you could look into 2D DirectX programming. OpenGL might be an easier one to start with, though. Actually, look into SDL, I think you'll like that.

I don't think asking others to do the work for you is against any rule, but it is certainly frowned upon. Not many people are willing to drop what they're doing to make a program for someone else when he/she could be working on their own projects. So, don't count on much support with that endeavor.

By the way, this isn't some kind of class project/assignment, is it?

Sry for double post.

Its no assignment. It should be a helper for a billard game ..

I will check out the sdl library ... If I can use it ...

If it is not complex for an experienced developer, he could make me an offer..

Thank you!
