I was wondering if it were possible to use the IE7 ActiveX (COM) object to generate an EMF/PNG/Whatever image file? I cannot figure out how to do it. When I execute the preview command, the preview window definatly seems to be an image (though it may not be). I just need some help in identifying the function or process involved in extracting an image of a webpage. Thanks! [edit] I'm doing this in pascal (delphi), but I am very familiar with most of the languages out there so documentation or information in any programming language is fine. Do you want to generate the image serverside and have the html page show it. Or do you want to show it on the ActiveX applet? If the first you would probably be better of using some sort of ISAPI/NSAPI cgi. If the latter you could just go get the Delphi port of PNGlib and use a TImage descendant

Actuially what I'm doing is generating a report as HTML and saving it off as HTML. But at some point, I'll be printing the html report, along with other documents in other formats together. They need to be in the same print job. Someone else is doing that logic, and basically converts all of the different documents to parts of an EMF file, then prints the one EMF file, which outputs all pages in a single print job. So basically i'm trying to find a way to also convert my document to an EMF to be included in the print job.

If you're fiddling with the TWebBrowser control, this page might help you out.

Edit: this might give you a lead too.
