Hi Can anybody please tell me where to get a description of *.ms3d file format for MilkShape 3D ??? I''m creating my own function to load in a 3d model and I do know that I just could use PortaLib3D, but it is uncertain if it''s GPL in the future... Best regards Roquqkie

Hey I''ve just wondered about the same and figured it out by downloading the MS3D SDK from the chubalum website...there''s sourcecode how to import both ms3d binary and aascii...using their own mode structures, though, but I found it quite easy to figure out what most parameters are for...hmmm...exept for the "flags", I just can''t get their meaning, besides, my own engine is just happy with the other data
muhuhahahahahaha!!!!!!!!who cares about signatures, anyway....

Cool!!! Actually I knew that there was a description of the file format in the SDK, but Chumbalums link is broken, so I can't dl it!!! ARGHHHH !!!!

Where did you dl it from ???

Btw. maybe we could work together on this one!
I would really like to create a class called "model" (original, eh?

At the time being I'm creating a whole library of classes, that simplifies openGL....A LOT!!!!

Well, what do you think?

Best regards,

Did you ever read my post???

"I do know that I could just use PortaLib3D"

Arrrhhhh!!! So I did read the tutorials (lesson 32 that is) !!!

But as I wrote later on:

"but it is uncertain if it''s GPL in the future..."

Arrrhhhh!!! That why I wont to create my OWN class...and thats why I need the MS3D description...!!!

Best regards
