hi, not really a technical question, but more of a um... nevermind. I''m working on a 3D Space Sim and was wondering how to setup the lighting.. is there ambient light in space? i guess there''d have to be with reflecting and all.. so should i just set lights in the positions of (larger) stars, and set and ambient light source too ? thanks, Scott Email

Well, in ''real'' space, there is no ambient light. (or not enough to be visible to the eye) But for a game, you''d probably want to have some ambient light so people could see all those great ship models you spent all that time making It would stink if all they saw was a black silhouette.
