Prologue: Please note, and stop here, if you are looking to get on board an ambitious, ground breaking, earth shattering, game development project. I am a professional systems administrator who uses python occasionally for scripting at my dayjob, and not a game programmer by practice. This thread is an attempt to work towards changing that in ways, and simply expanding my experience. Brief description: I am seeking to put together a workable top-down, tile or image-map based engine in python. Something simple, expandable, and a good experience. Target aim: 100% freeware. Intent is to release under the free-est of free license wise. Compensation: None. :) Technology: I want to work with Python and pygame. www.python.org www.pygame.org Talent needed: I am seeking another coder of similar experience. I am fairly decent with python in a scripting sense. I have coded a tetris clone in python. I have (and am working) a 2d sidescrolling game in python (with varying amounts of success, I'm glaring at you gravity) Team structure: (The people who are currently in the team, how long they've been there, and most Two person project only. I am not looking to get into a team management situation here. Just a buddy system to offer motivation / support / share code. Website: N/A Contacts: AIM: WalkedYarplane IRC: Walked on irc.freenode.net Email: Setash@gmail.com Additional Info: I can provide code snippets of my past work, screenshots, whatever youd like to see. I am by no means an advanced [or even good] programmer. The aim of this project is to work on changing that. Feedback: Tear me apart, offer good stuff, or keep your mouth shut. It's all fair game :)
