I have posted some comparison screen shots between a quake3 viewer that views directly from pk3 files and the viewer that I have made using the power render 4 quake3 viewer after conversion. These files are on the registered user ftp site under useruploads/screenshots. The files are quake3_render.jpg and pr4_render.jpg. Here are my concerns: There are some texturing issues with the pr4 version. Textures not in the right place, etc. I have adjusted the gamma on these pics because the pr4 version is much darker as well(that issue was discussed under lightmap issues). Just wanted to know what may be causing the texture difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thats a cool looking BSP...

Well, from my own experiences with my BSPs, I have figured out that texture allignment just isn''t done yet (PR is beta after all).

In my experiences with PR, for each object''s face the texture, instead of being stretched, is tiled over the object until it fits over the faces of the object. From what I can figure the tiling depends on the size of the texture.

For example I made a level which was a large square room, and in the middle of the room was a large box with a smaller box sitting on top. The texturing on those two boxes was the same even though one box was MUCH smaller than the other.

With a 256x256 texture, both boxes were tiled 4 by 4.
With a 128x128 texture, both boxes were tiled 2 by 2.

This doesn''t make much sense to me, but the general idea is that when textures are modified using q3Radiant''s Surface Inspector, those changes are ignored.

There doesn''t seem to be a way to control the textures currently, but I have a feeling later on things will be fixed. Chris Egerter always makes things right in the end.
