Hello everybody, I recently started developing in Microsoft's XNA framework and I love it. I would really like to join a team working on a game in XNA so that I can get some real experience using it. As for a little background information about myself, I have been programming on and off for about 13 years now, and I have a degree in Computer Science. However, I currently am residing in Japan and am a full-time freelance translator. Luckily, this allows me to choose my own hours, so I can work pretty seriously on a project. I would like to join a team comprised of mature developers like myself. Let me know if there is anything out there! Thanks, sat0shi

GenerationStudios,

Either one is fine by me. :)
Mainly fun/experience/hobby though.

Would you be open to any projects that don't use XNA if they proved interesting to you?

What aspects of coding are you interested in? Graphics, gameplay, networking, physics, 'yes!', etc?

Unfortunately no, not at the moment. I used to do straight up OpenGL and DirectX programming but that was a long time ago, and things are completely different now. I like the ease of use of XNA and I just think it's fun to program. Maybe later on I might want to do something outside of XNA, but for now I don't think so. Sorry!

Nypyren:
I am really interested in anything at this point. If you're looking for something really advanced or commercial quality, however, I am afraid I probably won't be able to deliver. Programming is just my hobby and I have been away from game programming for a few years so I am a little behind the times. This is the main reason for me posting this to begin with really, I just want to get back into things a little more. So on that note, my answer is "anything" with a slight leaning towards gameplay/graphics. :)

I will send you a PM explaining what I'm up to shortly... (since you're relatively new, look for the "1 private message(s)" in the upper right corner of the page)
